The size of the demo with Access Runtime is approximately 40 MB. When opened the demo first installs into the users hidden temporary folder. Once this is complete, the installation begins installing the Access Runtime engine and then the demo program.

If you are experiencing installation issues with the demo, they are related to other files already existing in the users hidden temporary folder. The following steps will clean out all unused files from your computer.

From the “Start” button, go to the “Run” command. Type in “Temp” and press OK.  A folder will open showing all of the temporary files saved in the windows directory. Press “Ctrl-A” to select all of the files and press the delete key. Close this window and return to the “Run” command. Enter “Prefetch” press OK then repeat the above steps to delete all files.

Right-click on your IE icon on the desktop. Go to “Properties”, in the middle of the “General” tab is a button marked “Settings”; press this button. In the next screen press the “View Files” button. A folder will open showing all temporary Internet files. At the top of this screen, next to the back arrow button is a folder with an up green arrow. Press this icon and you will be in the hidden user folders area. Open the “Temp” folder, press “Ctrl-A” to select all of the files and press your keyboard delete key. If the delete process stops on a file being used, hold down the “Ctrl” key and select the file named where the delete was stopped. This deselects that file and then press the delete key again. Continue doing this until most of the files have been removed.

Close this folder and select the “Contents” tab on your opened Internet Properties screen. Press the “Clear SSL State” button and then OK.

Empty your recycle bin after the above steps are completed.

Restart your computer and then run the demo install again.
